In California it is Fires and Earthquakes not Tornadoes or Flooding as much

Even though periodically it can flood in California especially in regard to the Sacramento River in Northern California this doesn't usually happen every year mostly because of places like Shasta Dam which can hold a lot of water back from flooding because it is a fairly tall dam. So, the biggest problems lately are fires like the Paradise Fire of Paradise, California which took so many lives and houses and buildings in this fire. Part of the problem there is that there were not enough escape routes out of there so many people died in this particular fire which was pretty horrific sort of like the Lahaina Fire on Maui was horrific in somewhat the same way. Also, the Eaton Fire and the Pacific Palisades fire brought a lot of suffering to Los Angeles County in 2025 also.

Though we might have little tornadoes (very small) they are rarer likely than waterspouts off the ocean and lakes here too.
