Sunny and 61 here on the coast going to 62

Had to use the heater when I woke up this morning but it's nice now but got a lot of fresh air during the night last night. Temperatures in the house have averaged 71 to 76 degrees in the house since we do not have air conditioners here where I live because mostly we don't need them. So, we open our windows to cool our house down during the nights but then it can get sort of cool by morning doing this.

I have friends who live in Mt. Shasta and do this too and in Portland as well to beat the heat. So, if you don't have air conditioning this might be one way to survive the heat of opening windows at night to cool down. However, if you live somewhere dangerous you might want to have metal bars on your windows  out side of the windows to protect yourself so you only get the cool air of night and nothing else. But, screens help a lot with this too.

Northern California (at least where we live) is a safe place to live basically compared to many other places in the U.S. party because homes are expensive and so is Gas now too.

However, with the price of Gas in California around $5.64 or more average and more in Northern California for some reason many people prefer to live in other states. However, what is interesting is people likely generally tend to make more money in this state (on average) so if you have a good income you are able to afford gas this high.

California after all is the 4th biggest economy on earth all by itself. So, it is an economic force of Nature at this point and likely will remain like this for centuries to come.
