Evaporating water using black plastic and a jug or other container for the drips to condense and drip into has long been a useful survival tool for people hiking near the ocean through the years without potable water nearby. I suppose it might be possible to also evaporate water from a fresh water pool using this method too but most survivalists use a specially made straw which is designed to filter out impurities and things like giardia and other problems. However, if there are things like arsenic or strychnine in the water I'm not sure the results you would have if poisons are present.
But, generally speaking as long as dangerous chemicals are not in the water you are evaporating from you should be fine drinking water evaporated from sea water.
After all, all the rain that falls mostly on earth is evaporated by the sun from Seawater.
