Because if they have to watch another Republican be in office in Congress why shouldn't they vote for someone who agrees with them about Trump being a criminal and a danger to our U.S. Republic's survival?
So, many Democrats are registering as Republicans so they can vote for Cheney during the primaries in the hopes that she wins and can return to Congress once again.
However, if that doesn't happen I also believe that many Republicans and Democrats will support Cheney in Running for President in 2024 against Trump to talk "Truth to Power" to prevent Trump from running for president or becoming president once again.
So, you are seeing the Anti-Trumper Republicans joining with the Anti-Trumper Democrats in fighting Trump from running or becoming president once again all over the U.S. begin to band together to stop Trump in his tracks now in whatever way they can to preserve our democracy and to prevent Trump from beginning a Fascist dictatorship like Hitler and Mussolini in Europe during World war II here in the U.S.
