It made it up to at least 66 degrees here on the NorCal Coast near SF:

But tomorrow it is supposed to rain some which is good news because that will keep the fires away. So, likely from around Big Sur North might not have fires because of this storm and the last one and another one that's supposed to hit Friday. I think Storms will prevent more fires from Northern California up into Canada from now on throughout the winter. However, lightning storms if they happen could still spark some fires or Santa Ana Winds can be very unpredictable too this time of year.

I went to the beach today and big waves of 7 to 10 feet with sneaker waves were the rule. Luckily, I didn't see anyone that looked like they were going to be swept out of sea from a lack of knowledge of how the ocean works. I remember years ago when a family from some place like Pakistan or Afghanistan who had no knowledge of Beaches or storms all drowned trying to rescue each other  (about 6 or 7 members of the same family at a local beach that has taken many lives over the. years. Locals know about this beach but tourists often don't. It also kills a lot of Scuba Divers because they cannot swim to shore when they are exhausted from diving so they drown. This is one reason why you always want a float of some kind or at least an inflatable life vest always as a Scuba diver because it can prevent you drowning when you are too tired to make it through the surf. When I Scuba dived as a younger man I always wanted to be Boat diving or having a float like a Boogie board or other kind of float as a back up in an emergency so the group I was diving with didn't drown from exhaustion after diving a long time.

When I took our dog to the beach today I had to be really careful of the sneaker waves and even being careful they got my pants legs wet some. So, it was a fairly dangerous day for sneaker waves even when you were watching them come into shore.
