This is something I started to realize when I was only 4 to 6 years old which is that almost anything could be true and most people were then (in the 1950s) sort of crazy from the Great Depression and World war II.
My parents were very exceptional each of them in that they tended to be less crazy than most people were then. So, this helped me survive to adulthood and to still be alive now at age 76.
But, the title says it all.
Don't believe ANYTHING anyone tells you.
That's a good start at surviving your life.
I know this is pretty sad but unfortunately "Questioning Authority" is going to keep you alive more than any other thing in life.
Most people tend to live in the lies their parents and grandparents told them. If you don't break free from all these lies then you are soon dead too just like all of them.
