I have much more problems with how Trump is destroying our democracy than I do with what he just did to Iran. Iran is just so very far away from the U.S. it is less of a problem to me personally.
So, what has upset me the most so far regarding Trump is what he has done to Los Angeles and California because I have been a Californian mostly since 1952 and I like it here (even though I have also lived in Santa Fe, New Mexico and Hawaii in Hilo and on Maui in the past.
So, harming people in Los Angeles where I grew up and causing countless deaths and starvation in people here both citizens and non-citizens bothers me much more than what is happening in the Middle East.
So, in some ways dealing with something thousands of miles away is a welcome relief to Trump focused on Destroying our Democracy and turning the U.S. to Shit more every day.
So, having compassion for yourself might be a matter of life and death for all of us during these troubling times worldwide.
