What's interesting in California regarding Hurricane Gabrielle?

Basically, the weather people on TV have said that for some Reason the Hurricane is affecting weather as far away as California, especially the Southern California Deserts but even as far north into California as I am presently it is affecting the weather here too. For example,

Here it will be 76 degrees on the coast which is sort of warm for here but the real change is it will only go down to 64 degrees tonight. So, while it was 59 degrees here this morning for awhile I opened up two of our sliding windows with the screen closed to bring the temperature down in our house along the coast as far as possible. Then I closed the sliding doors as well as the shutters to keep the heat out of the house because 95% of the people here on the coast don't have Air conditioning because we usually don't need it.

So, tonight it likely is going to feel like Hawaii where the night time low temperature is often in the 64 to 70 range during a lot of the year with a lot of humidity.

The humidity here so far is around 70% which is interesting too. Lately, it has been a lot in the 80% to 96% range here along the coast because of Fog and drizzle but today is sunny and likely will be around 76 degrees which is warm for here along the coast.

This could have changed but they said that there would be flooding partly caused by Hurricane Gabrielle in Arizona, the deserts of Southern California, and on into Oklahoma and further East as well with Flash floods which is pretty different for this time of year too.
