They might be one of the most efficient Countries on earth because of this. Though I didn't see as many electric Cars as in California or the U.S. it is no small thing to have 90% renewables powering your country which would mean Solar, Wind Power, and other renewables powering this country and also water power generation too which we have a lot of from the Hoover Dam to various dams from California up into Washington and Oregon too on the west coast.
Also, most people don't own cars here unless they live way out into the country. Most people travel around using either planes or Light Rail since Light Rail (what they call their railroads) is everywhere almost I have been so far from Vienna throughout the country. My daughter was saying it would have been easier for us to use the railroad to get the places we have gone to so far which would have saved us a lot in renting a Car. We rented a Diesel BMW. But over here Diesel cars are not stinky like in the U.S. because they have advanced technology that they use for cleaning the exhaust and muffling the exhaust here. The Car Rental man said that this car would drive over 600 miles on a tank of Diesel by the way. So, that is interesting too.
