One of the best ways I find (for me) is since I have a blog it is like a discipline or a meditation to write at my blogs. So, i try (whenever this works for me when I have wifi there) I write some and publish what I'm writing. But, I also compile useful or entertaining articles or both for my readers worldwide.
If you are new to blogging readership isn't always consistent and readers come and go according to their tastes as they age from children to old age. So, often you writings have a mixed audience of ages that visit them online.
However, I have found that I have many interests and things I keep researching that keeps my mind active even though I am now 77 years old. So, I keep researching anything I'm interested about and often share what I find that is useful or interesting with my readers worldwide.
The point is: "If this isn't something that rewards you even without people reading what you write then maybe you shouldn't be writing."
I find writing to be extremely healing because as you gain understanding through thinking and research you become a better person in your life.
So, the more you know the more healed often you can become from the traumas of your life.
However, it is also true that you need to remove yourself from things that are traumatizing you too.
Otherwise, you likely are just going to get worse and worse if you don't remove yourself from things that traumatize you.
Something to think about.
