Humans are much more than most of us believe at present. I think I realized this the most when I did a Native American Vision Quest in 1983 when I was 35 years old for four days without water or food during these 96 hours of prayer.
There is what is known as non-ordinary reality which can be much more real than the everyday reality we live in going to school or work. In some ways school and work are not who we are.
In reality we are our dreams.
In understanding this one learns to understand who and what we are as humans here on earth.
There is much more to human beings than most people seem to understand.
I'm able to stay much calmer than most people through almost anything in my life simply because I seem to understand many things that most people don't.
So, having compassion for yourself and all other beings allows one to become enlightened and through enlightenment comes Peace and through Peace comes ETERNAL PEACE which is what Enlightenment actually is.
