When my deck was installed they put wire horizontally below the railings which the backs of my deck chairs fit under

note: Stainless steel wire so it won't ever rust.

So, this keeps the deck chairs  in place in high winds so I don't have to take them completely off the deck anymore once I discovered this easier way to deal with deck chairs not blowing all around during wind storms from the South. For us here on the coast the most damage usually comes from winds out of the south. So, this storm must be another Pineapple Express from Hawaii to be coming out of the South like this.

However, if trees come down the usual winds are from the south or north or West or one of these combinations off the ocean because generally speaking storms move from West to East across the U.S. towards the East Coast.
