An explosion in central Moscow on Saturday has left at least five people dead and 21 others injured, according to Russian officials.
Officials said an improvised explosive device exploded near a restaurant on Kudrinskaya Square. A security guard, a bystander and a female suspect were killed in the blast, officials said.
"According to available information, the explosion occurred near a summer café at around 8:10 p.m. today," the country's Interior Ministry said.
According to Russian state media, at least six of those injured remain in serious condition.
The Department of Transportation said traffic near Kudrinskaya Square has been temporarily blocked.
