The fact that the two quoted articles above were explosions very near to the explosions in Boston time wise make me think that possibly that in some way they all are related. If so, I don't think the government would tell us if they knew.
But, the fact that the President went to Waco to speak to the people of West, Texas makes me think that the Explosions in Alabama and Texas could be directly or indirectly related to the explosions in Boston.
The reason the government likely would not tell us is that so far any major terrorist attacks have been in New York City and now Boston. The rest of the country doesn't need to be as traumatized as New York City and Boston have been during the last 12 years. So, I don't think they would tell us. Only President Obama and his wife going to Texas makes me think this could have been another event with firemen dying like 9-11.
