Many people in the world live for revenge and sometimes that is the only thing that keeps them alive.
However, this is the politics of death, their own and everyone around them. If taken far enough it leads to the suicide of all life on earth.
So, the politics of kindness to oneself and to others is in everyone's enlightened self interest. However, many people refuse to see this so they go on in internal terror and thereby terrorize both themselves and others in the process.
When you think kind thoughts they go into all your organs and start to heal your organs including your mind. When you think kind thoughts for yourself and the beings around you you are the first person healed.
It's true the world can be a very nasty and difficult place, but if you and I don't start to make the world a better place, who will?
Unless you and I take responsibility for making our lives better and thereby making not only our own lives better but also those around us better, who will?
If one lives only for revenge it is the politics not only of death for oneself but everyone. IF one lives for revenge it is the death of the one feeling and thinking like that and their family and often their friends too.
If one lives as an act of kindness towards oneself and all beings the world becomes a better place ongoing for everyone.
We have to start somewhere and the easiest place is to start with yourself so everything you do is a positive example to others which keeps the earth alive along with the whole human race.
"He who lives by the sword dies by the sword"
And he who lives by kindness never dies in the hearts of all who knew this person.
