The Shootings can only continue and get worse

Why?

Because society is no longer self regulating like it was when I grew up. Most of these shooters would have been killed by the general populace in the 1950s and early 1960s. This self regulating nature of society changed during and after the Viet Nam War when people became less realistic and pragmatic about many things.

Why did this happen?

I'm thinking it was just from too much trauma in everyone's lives to the point where they became less pragmatic and self regulating than before. When you expect the police to solve all your problems you are mostly going to die in the end. The Police and Sheriffs and National Guard cannot be everywhere at once. And so if people don't protect themselves any way that they can eventually most people will be killed by some crazy man or woman along the way.

Because society stopped being vigilante and self regulating like it always was before you can just expect more and more and more shootings like this from crazy people with guns ongoing. And no matter how you regulate guns criminals and the insane will continue to get guns. So, no gun regulation is going to change any of this in ANY significant way.

If you take all the guns away from people in one area or city it is the law abiding people that will get shot by the criminals and the insane with guns. It's just very logical and very pragmatic and I don't really understand why most people cannot see this?

If people are not much more pragmatic and learn from our history this can only get progressively worse over time.

Until enough people arm themselves so they can shoot back at these crazy people with guns this will only get progressively worse and worse over time. Why can't people understand this? It is just so very basic and EVERYONE in the 1950s would understand this. What happened to us that people no longer are practical about all this?

The basic Rule from the 1950s and before always was:

"Defend yourself from crazy people with guns and knives or you are dead!"

It's very simple.

The police and Sheriffs and the National Guard CANNOT be everywhere at once.

So, if YOU don't defend yourself there just might not be ANYONE else there to defend you either and by then you could be dead.
