I think the previous article is sort of bullshit in that other countries give free college educations to their students. But, here's what's different in say "Austria". They don't let everyone Have a college education. Unless you are in the top 10% of your class in High School you cannot go to college there.
So, maybe what we should do is give Free college educations to students in the top 10% of their classes in High school. And then let the rest get student loans if they want to go to school. To some degree this is already handled through scholarship programs but I'm thinking that we should Guarantee free educations to anyone in the top 10% of their high school classes instead. This way the best and brightest always get college degrees and the rest will just have to work to go to college.
But, I don't think we should stop anyone from going to college just only pay for the top 10% so they have free educations. That way we have the best of both worlds of the U.S. and Europe here in the U.S.
