Padmasambhava was a Mahasiddha from Nalanda University which was a Buddhist University in India at that time. I visited the ruins of the Buddha's University in Nalanda which was destroyed by Moslems conquering India. Buddhism started in Bodhgaya by Guatama Buddha was a Prince from Lumbini 500 years before Christ. In fact, compassion was studied by Jesus from Buddhism to create Forgiveness which is the Basis of Christianity and Christian Brotherhood. This ended vendettas which still destroy the Middle East to this day with an "Eye for an Eye and a tooth for a Tooth" ongoing for thousands and thousands of years.
A Mahasiddha is someone who is very gifted and developed who can levitate like Jesus, heal the sick like Jesus and many many other things including manifesting bodies in other localities like Sai Baba did to New York City from India on at least one occasion during my lifetime. My uncle and cousin saw Sai Baba precipitate a ring with their likenesses on it with their dog instantaneously while in India in the 1960s by the way. My Uncle now passed away was a Minister to the Stars in Hollywood and was in "The Ten Commandments" and was the star of many B movies about detectives in the 1940s and about UFOs in the 1950s. Thousands of people came to his church in Hollywood when I was a boy. I went to his church when I was about 10 to 12 years old many times and saw all the actors and directors and producers there at that church.
Padmasambhava went to Rewalsar where I went also with Mandharava who was a princess in that area. Her Father's soldiers tried to burn Padmasambhava at the stake but instead he flew up several thousand feet and burned his feet into the rock.When I went there in 1986 in FEbruary I believe I wore size 14 Cascade Hiking boots which exactly fit the print of Padmasambhava and the monk who took me to see this was amazed. When I came out of the protected building where the melted footprints are protected from people who want to steal them and chisel them out to take them elsewhere the sky had turned purple and violet lightning started to crash. I realized it was because I had invoked Saint Germain who was Padmasambhava and he was answering my question with "Yes!"
That week in Rewalsar, India near where Padmasambhava had been with Princess Mandharava around the time of Merlin the Magician in England and Scotland and Wales I realized that Padmasambhava's energy was a lot like Saint Germain. I asked if Padmasambhava had been an incarnation of Saint Germain's.
The answer was an emphatic "Yes" with purple clouds with violet lightning and violet rain crashing down the rest of the afternoon. Since I had been given the Dorje Drollo initiation in Berkeley California at UC Berkeley by an old powerful lama directly from Tibet I walked around lake Rewalsar with lightning crashing around me doing my Dorje Drollo puja while circling the lake clockwise. I prayed for one of the local high Lamas who was ill then and for the whole world's health.
It was one of the most powerful experiences of my life to be walking with violet lightning crashing around me all the time as I did my walking puja for Dorje Drollo which is one of the forms of Padmasambhava that Rewalsar is known for. It's a powerful Crazy Wisdom emanation of Padmasambhava.
Crazy Wisdom is: "The Wisdom Beyond Logic" which is the basis of human survival and always has been spiritually, intellectually and physically.
When I first arrived at the Nyingma Gonpo (Temple) with my family then in 1986 in February they did a Dorje Drollo puja all night long in the courtyard outside my veranda on the penthouse overlooking the courtyard there. This was pretty amazing and like returning to 1500 years ago when Padmasambava was there with Mandharava the princess.
