This storm is a counter clockwise one Hitting Western U.S.
It was going up California from about San Diego north and then spinning out to sea about San Francisco or Eureka and then spiraling over the ocean back to san diego and Los angeles and then north again. But, now it's going to Kingman, Arizona and Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, Logan Idaho and then Boise Idaho and then heads for Redding California and Chico spiraling back bringing a lot of snow because of cold temperatures everywhere. There was even Hail from Aromas to San Antonio Lake all along 101 with people spinning off the road around Lake San Antonio on 101 there. So, the weather has been pretty unusual because I have never seen hail on 101 I don't think ever that I can remember. But, it's very common to see it on the Grapevine on Interstate 5 this time of year.
