Right now we are number 2 in the world in new cases but we are sure to surpass Italy within a few days.
Right now Italy has 6557 new cases as of today.
The U.S. has 4368 new cases as of today which is the 2nd highest rate on earth right now (that are actually being tested). Because many other nations might be worse off than us they just aren't being tested at this point and might not ever be.
But, among nations that are actually testing and honest about the actual results Italy is the worst right now followed by the U.S.
About 3 weeks after someone is tested is when often they die especially if they don't have oxygen or respirators in a hospital.
However, a Brooklyn Hospital is already at the point of running out of supplies and respirators already. So, many people likely by next week will either have to be transferred to other hospitals (OR) they will die without a bed or respirator in a hospital to hopefully keep them alive. And even if you recover from a bad bought with pneumonia caused by this virus you might have lung damage for life it appears too.
So, you are better off if you can prevent getting it until a vaccine is created that actually works which might be 1 year or 18 months away.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
