I think he would want any president that turns the U.S. into chaos and ruin. And the two best choices for that would be to re-elect Trump or to put in Sanders who is a socialist. They are equally problematic to what they would do to the U.S.
Trump takes us back to the 1950s regarding racism worldwide and Sanders takes us to Moscow in the 1980s or before during the Soviet Union and the Cold War.
So, either Trump or Sanders would be a Russian Wet Dream for Putin. So, I believe Putin is working for either of them to be elected by making sure that Sanders wins the Democratic primaries so he would be nominated for president so people like myself (moderates nationwide) couldn't vote for Trump or Sanders in the general election.
