I was taught starting in 1966 when I first learned to program in Fortran and COBOL to Flow Chart
before I tried to write any program in any language. The reason for doing this is you see exactly
in a logical way what you are trying to do and this makes it more useful to know how next to program
what you are trying to do through any computer programming language.
But I also think writing a flow chart for almost anything you are trying to accomplish might be useful too.
