My wife and I have noticed that instead of pelicans gliding in the air or plunging into the water to catch fish often they are just sitting together in the water doing nothing. This could be an indication of the latest Bird Flu hitting the brown pelicans of California or it could be some other ailment caused by the water and air heating beyond what they are used to?
I'm not sure about this but what I am sure is that brown pelican behavior is not like any I have seen before.
