There is what China would like to do and then there is the practicality of doing such a thing

TSMC is the foremost maker of Chips for everything on earth including China. If China invaded Taiwan in Actuality TSMC would be the first to collapse and be no more.

So, if China invaded Taiwan the Chip "Goose that lays Golden Eggs for the whole world would be gone."

However, China to it's people cannot say this. Because they know that if China invaded Taiwan there is likely a tacit agreement between the U.S. and Taiwan that the U.S. would bomb TSMC out of existence just to make sure it doesn't fall into Chinese hands. So, the basic Truth is: 'The Chip Goose that lays the Golden Eggs for not only China but for the whole world would be gone any way you look at it.

This is what the Chinese Government doesn't want to tell it's people.

So, is China going to invade Taiwan? IF it does in some ways it will be economically slitting it's own throat the way things are in the world right now, including the way it is in China because of Omicron which has devastated China through Zero Covid policies. Zero Covid has been because of Ba4 and BA5 a complete disaster for China in every way.
