Best decisions I have made in my life

Strangely enough, even though leaving my childhood religion gave me a several year bought with suicidal thoughts this was a good thing in the long run even though I always missed my friends from all over the world.

Nice best decision was to have all the children I had including adopting one more for a total of 4 kids and now also 4 grandkids presently as well. Only the youngest of my daughters hasn't had kids yet and she isn't even 30 yet either.

Last decision I have made is presently marrying the lady I have been married to for the last 30 years of my life since I was about 46 years old. This decision is the main reason why I'm still alive at age 76.

Why is that?

Because I didn't have much experience with medical Doctors in my family with their beliefs. So, since my present wife's uncle was a heart specialist Doctor this helped a lot with making good enough health decisions for me and my wife that we are both still alive (her at almost 70 and me at 76 years of age).

So, looking back now these are likely along with refusing to ever have a mortgage on a house and deciding I needed to own my own businesses were some of the best decisions that led to me still being alive and relatively happy now at age 76.

NOTE: By the way not having a mortgage ever simply means that you pay for your land or house outright with your savings instead. I'm not sure how easy that would be today anywhere in the U.S. but in 1980 it was still possible to buy land with savings and build your own home yourself because land and materials weren't as expensive (relatively speaking) as they are now.

Also, believing in God and Angels has kept me alive too all the way to now as well.
