Why is this?
Because if you understand the basic rules of Peer Counseling then you wind up counseling yourself through your own writings often. This is what I have found especially after I was taught the techniques of peer counseling with a group of men in the early 2000s.
How is peer counseling relevant?
When you write something you are one person. But, when you read what you have written a day or a week or a month or a year or longer you are a different person. So, the next person reading what you wrote before is the therapist analyzing the problems and potential solutions.
So, in this way you start becoming your own therapist I have found.
However, it is also true that in my early 20s I studied to be a psychologist and my parents were Mystical Christian ministers and taught me counseling skills to help people as a child especially from 6 to 12 years old.
So, all of these experiences help me to counsel myself in this way and this might also help you directly or indirectly in various different ways too.
