The Red Mirage is people who are angry but likely not educated very well who might believe in all sorts of conspiracy theories because of their basic lack of education and critical thinking skills. But, because of their lack of education often they are already having financial problems and so aren't able (for one reason or another) to actually get out and vote for people like Trump who also believe in conspiracy theories that have no basis at all in fact.
So, the likelihood is that Trump will lose many many millions of votes to the Red Mirage of angry people but not functional enough as humans to be able to actually get out and actually vote for whatever the reason wherever they live.
