What's this called:
Basically, it's called Democracy.
However, with Trump the question becomes more seriously:
"Will we still have a democracy or a Constitution 4 years from now?"
For example, when I was 4 years old My grandfather and father voted for General Eisenhower to be president. I was interested in watching my very first TV program which was the 1952 Republican Convention. I think I thought it was a circus or something (which might be accurate for all political Conventions in some ways).
However, because my father and Grandfather voted for Eisenhower and because he was a World war II General in Charge of the Attack on Normandy which finished the European theater of war he became a candidate for president and won in 1952 and 1956. Then Kennedy won in 1960. Then Kennedy died and LBJ his vice president took his place. Then Nixon who Kennedy defeated in 1960 became president in 1968.
However, just remember likely people only liked about 50% or their own parties candidates and you have about a 50-50 chance of your presidential candidate winning any given presidential election.
So, if you have been through this since 1952 like I have you sort of realize you aren't going to like every president that gets elected. Are you?
And this is just what happens in a Democracy anywhere on earth.
