Nostradamus’ Chilling 16th Century Prediction Resurfaces After Pope’s Death
The death of Pope Francis on Easter Monday at the age of 88 has sparked renewed attention to a prediction made by the famous 16th-century astrologer, Nostradamus.
In his 1555 book Les Prophéties, Nostradamus predicted the death of a “very old pope” and warned that the Catholic Church could weaken as a result. He also wrote about the election of a new pope who would “weaken his seat” but remain in power for a long time.
