I thought this was a pretty good fortune cookie by the way (from a Chinese Restaurant) and so I thought I would share it.
I personally see Courtesy and Kindness as two aspects of the same thing which is compassion.
When I first heard the word compassion as a young person I didn't know what it meant. I think that saying Compassion is kindness towards yourself and all other beings is how I would say it.
Either way, Courtesy costs nothing.
But, it makes life easier for everyone.
