And I realized that mo9st people today were not likely even born when this was made whereas in 1985 I was 37 years old already. and I was 32 in 1980. So, it seems inconceivable to me that 1980 was 45 years ago and 1985 is 40 years ago even though our adopted Daughter is now 40 and my oldest biological son is now 51.
But, you know how it is when you age. If you are happy times goes very fast like it has for me since 1999 after I recovered from a heart virus and was forced to retire to stay alive in Fall of 1998. So, for me, life has Always been a miracle for me since I recovered in 1999 in May.
I was talking about this with my son Today and trying to tell him that it's a miracle that I'm still alive at age 77. I'm not sure he fully heard me because he is dealing with his own health issues.
I was telling him that medical PTSD is a real thing that you have to learn to deal with which often makes you think you are going to die. I believed on one level that I was going to die soon all the way from Fall of 1998 until I was diagnosed Hypothyroid (which means your body makes too little Thyroid and this causes problems. So, when I was finally given Armour Thyroid in 2006 I my mind felt like suddenly I was 20 years old again which was wonderful.
anyway, realizing that Volunteers(1985) was 40 years ago seems impossible to me and even more impossible because it was supposed to take place in 1962 when I was 14 years old. I still remember back as far as 1950 when I was 2 years old.
