when I first heard the 3rd season of "The Diplomat" will start October 16th on Netflix I realized (since I greatly like this series because it is very smart and detailed and believable on many different levels regarding the plot. Things might be a lot different now but you could imagine something like this happening (all the parts of it) in for example, during the Biden Administration.
So, I tend to see this Series as more true to life about what actually tends to go on regarding American Embassies worldwide as the U.S. Governments Foreign Service officers try to make things work for Democracy and capitalism worldwide without having to go to war with anyone in particular including Russia and China and North Korea.
However, it is important also to see how hollywooded up the plot is to make it more interesting to the Audience.
However, nevertheless it's like getting a look inside a U.S. embassy that might be in any country of the world and what might be happening there.
So, while traveling a few weeks ago so in my spare time (day or night) I have been watching this on one of my laptops that I travel with in preparation for the 3rd season in October.
