First of all, Calling the Department of Defense the Department of War is like calling it "The Department of Death". So, the problem is psychological both for people in this Department and also for everyone else on earth.
They will likely think (in other countries this) "These are some Dangerous Mother Fuckers to name their Department of Defense the Department of War".
This doesn't make any one trust us at all not even our friends and allies. And it doesn't make us as a nation even trust ourselves or our own military either.
I think it's much more likely now that our military branches will at some point overthrow Trump and anyone like him for a variety of reasons.
So, I think Trump has cut off his nose to spite his face with this one.
