Living moment to moment is the only way I know to live into old age. Why?

Because otherwise the details and scariness of life is just going to kill you quick. So, unless you are very in the moment after 70 or so you wind up falling down the stairs thinking about something else and breaking your hip or worse or hitting your head and then you are gone.

My Cousin's wife was given too high a dose of Amiodarone and it made her pass out unconscious while standing so she wasn't conscious when she hit the ground and so broke her pelvis and hip and this took about 1 to 2 years of painful recovery and an operation to fix all this.

So, being in the moment likely will keep you alive more than anything else I can think of.

Stay in the moment (right now!) if you want to live to old age.

And also learn to roll when you fall. I learned to roll when I played Basketball in Junior high school for when I went up for a jump shot into the air and some one would bang you from the side so you landed wrong on your feet and sprain an ankle. After doing this (spraining my ankle) about 13 or 14 times i learned to train myself to roll when I fell so this didn't happen. You roll onto the ground like a tumbler to take the force of falling away from the fall and this way you don't break anything at all.

So, physically being in the moment after 50 to 70 is going to save your life every day likely just walking up and down stairs to your building or house!

And psychologically being in the moment helps you take care of your survival right now but not nessarily into the future. I find sitting or laying down when you aren't going to fall by accident is the time to worry about these kinds of things enough to survive in the long term too. But, walking around if you are not completely in the moment often you can be dead or maimed really quick.
