This is a pretty impressive storm by the way hitting the west coast now in California

The rain on the skylight is really loud right now. However, the weather lady said that tonight isn't the worst of it. She said tomorrow night it's both high winds and rain which might bring down trees in addition to local flooding wherever this storm hits. We haven't had a storm this intense since the 23rd of December when the power went out here until about the 26th or through Christmas day here. The kids had quite a story of losing power here that were visiting for Christmas. I don't think they had been through a power outage before this. Where I live it is a forest and with enough rain and wind big trees go down and take out the power to thousands of people in the Greater San Francisco Bay area all the way down into Big Sur too. So far we are okay and I had one of our house cleaners start up the electrical Generator Gas powered in case we need power to run our refrigerator and Wifi and a few lights and cable TV and Flatscreen in the living room. But, so far we are okay and no trees have come down even though the rain is very loud on our skylights right now. One of our plastic bench seats blew across our deck today too but no damage at all so far and we have at least enough wood to burn in our fireplace for one night until morning before we have to buy some more at a local market.

It's also snowing really hard between Sacramento and Fresno areas up in the Sierras to the East of those places up in the Sierras. I wouldn't want to be stuck in the snow right now anywhere in the Sierras because you might not get out some places for a few months now because of this heavy storm bringing 7 to 10 feet above 4000 or 5000 feet in elevation right now. So, be careful out there everyone!
