When I went to watch the KSBW Weather Radar Video from Space Satellites I realized about Santa Barbara and Los Angeles are getting really blasted by this storm as of 11:30 or midnight Tuesday night.
So, I started the generator and the power came back on. So, the snow is going gangbusters in the Sierras right now. Hopefully people don't get snowed in in their homes and cars and trucks there unless this is something they actually want to experience.
If you are there in the Sierras remember you can always dig a snow cave if you don't have shelter and warm your hands with a candle as long as you keep the temperature in the snow cave you dig under 50 degrees Fahrenheit. Otherwise the snow cave starts to become a drip drip drip and then sort of a waterfall inside the snow cave as the temperatures increase beyond about 50 degrees air temperature in a snow cave. But, somehow air temperatures at 50 degrees Fahrenheit or below work without melting the inside of your snow cave.
