“We haven’t seen the brunt of it yet,” said Samantha Gross

I think this is worth repeating because I sense myself that this can only get worse (even if the war ended tomorrow) I think that we would still be in for it for a month or two. But, if it goes on another month horrific financial outcomes will ensue for the next 6 months or more worldwide.

The Biggest change is likely that the upper 50% in income now worldwide are now scared enough (most of them) that they are reducing things like Travel and vacations and even business trips (especially to ANYWHERE in the MiDDLE East at this point.

Which economies will be the most adversely impacted? Those who are 3rd world economies with basically bad governments. However, we will feel it in our own way here in the U.S. and Canada and Europe too.

The more renewable energy we have to draw from the better economies will tend to do without enough oil products. People with Teslas or other EVs will fare much better than people with Gas Guzzlers.

More and more people are going to just park their gas guzzlers and some more will become homeless in order to keep eating food to stay alive worldwide too.

begin partial quote from previous article:

“We haven’t seen the brunt of it yet,” said Samantha Gross, director of energy security and climate at the Brookings Institute. “I feel like markets are so far underestimating the effect of the war. It seems that they expect this war to go quickly, and they expect that we can go back to the world before when it’s over. And I don’t think either of those ideas is true.”
