Yesterday it was cloudy and cooler and today it's sunny and supposed to be 79. Visited Hospital yesterday and found parking to be a problem at first there. I'm going today again but people tell me that parking might be more difficult today because everyone is back to work so I will see about what that's all about at some point I guess.
I'm not used to traveling by myself much unless it is driving to Mt. Shasta in my Truck the last few years. Most of the time now I travel with my wife who is only 71 years old whereas I'm 78 and I find it better to travel with someone else at this age.
So, I was a little worried flying up to Portland at 78 years old but soon got back into the swing of things. By my 2nd day traveling I realized that for me at least it is sort of like being 25 and single again only with more money traveling now than I had then. So, it is a new and interesting experience in this sense once I adjusted to traveling alone again while flying on a plane and renting a car.
The hardest thing so far has been waiting for a taxi for one hour on Sunday to try to get to the Car Rental place in Beaverton, Oregon. Then they wanted 100 dollars to drop the car off at the Portland International Airport when I fly back to San Jose, California later this week.
But, keeping the car and dropping it off at the airport myself still makes sense because I had to pay 100 dollars plus tip just to take a cab from the Airport to Beaverton to begin with. So, it just makes good sense to keep the car and to return it to the airport myself because of this.
So, it's sunny today and likely going to be the warmest day so far here in the portland Oregon area.
