Another Problem of the Super Pacs

It has always been "Illegal" for foreign nations to directly influence the Election of American Presidents and other Congressional Candidates for obvious reasons. However, because of the fact that SuperPacs don't have to list the donors to 501c organizations (non-profits) here is a loophole for foreign nations to influence the outcome of U.S. Elections. Since Individual or even organizational donors to a 501C non-profit are not required to be listed publicly with the Federal Election Commision

There is likely no limit to how much foreign nations can and will fund the Superpacs with this year and beyond. So, inadvertently the Supreme Court has opened up a potential floodgate of foreign money to influence the outcome of national elections which is illegal. However, this is the loophole that will allow it to happen. This is supposed to be the first 1 Billion dollar election this year for President.

China is only one of 100 or more nations that would be interested in influencing U.S. Federal and State elections. Here is what they are doing in Taiwan:

China uses trade to influence Taiwan election

And here is another strange but possibly related quote:

Newt Gingrich may not be able to win the Republican presidential nomination, but with the help of a wealthy casino magnate with powerful allies around globe, he's going to do everything he can to make sure Mitt Romney doesn't either. After pledging for months to avoid negative campaigning, a pro-Gingrich "super PAC" is now pushing an anti-Romney documentary that features interviews with working-class people who were the victims of Bain Capital layoffs. (See the trailer below.) Adverstisments promoting the film will run across South Carolina in the run-up to next week's primary.

That PAC — called Winning Our Future — is paying for the ads with a huge influx of cash that it just got from Sheldon Adelson, a Las Vegas billionaire with ties to China, Israel, and the Bush family. end quote from:http://news.yahoo.com/meet-billionaire-wants-help-newt-gingrich-destroy-mitt-125644168.html

So, where does this leave us? I don't know but if the Las Vegas Billionaire has ties to China maybe someone should be worried? I don't know enough to be sure. Appearances can be deceiving. However, "If it walks like a duck, and it quacks like a duck, it is usually a duck."
