Most people don't try to do this because Religions are obsolete. I realized each of us are our own religion now whether we believe in God or not. We are much more educated and independent now that people ever were in the past. We are exposed to thousands of times as much wisdom and knowledge as anyone ever was before. If we learn to become wise, critical thinking, intuitive intelligent adults then each one of us is very capable of starting our own religion. Why don't we?
Because religions are now obsolete. The do not serve the same function that they once did. Knowledge is everywhere. It is said that any child in Africa with an Iphone now has more access to information than President Clinton did while he was President of the United States.
Religions are obsolete because they helped us get there. But now, like Caterpillars turning into Butterflies what humans are in body and spirit is changing into something new it has never been before in recorded human history. And if we are careful "This will be a Good thing!"
However, Compassion and enlightenment will never be obsolete. Religions tried to banish ignorance. They have succeeded in their quest.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
