No Data once online is private

Sound the alarms: Facebook is about to start charging a monthly fee to keep your data private! But that hasn't stopped everyone from sharing statuses that warn people to post a declaration about privacy, pay up, or do nothing. USA TODAY

end partial quote from:

The Short List: Planned Parenthood on the Hill; Snowden tweets; your mom ...

It doesn't really matter what anyone tells you, the Cloud (or ICloud) is not private, Social media like Facebook is NEVER private and even if you pay to keep your Data private to Facebook it is all a lie. Get used to it!

This is the world we all live in now which is much scarier in every way than it was in the 1950s. (And then we all knew we were going to be turned to dust any minute in a nuclear holocaust)! I sort of think that was preferable to the complete loss of privacy and choice in our lives worldwide.

So, here we are.

To believe all the lies is to be a victim. To not realize you have no privacy regarding anything online is to be a fool.

To not use the Internet at all because you know all this just means you still have your information online and vulnerable through medical records, credit histories and taxes.

My way of dealing with this is I don't file taxes online ever if I can opt out. I don't use Facebook if I have any other real choice regarding anything or anyone. I don't ever bank online because if you get hacked on a home computer the bank isn't liable for the loss of (thousands and thousands of dollars), You are.

So, part if it is knowing how to protect yourself as much as you can.  Because unless you have no birth certificate and are homeless with no license or address, or identity you are going to be vulnerable to a hacker somewhere worldwide.

Was the Internet a good thing or a bad thing?

Mostly both. And from my view an equal amount of both.
