In the past, industrial revolutions killed many people while making other people's lives more miserable and making a few people's lives better. And this then changed over time.
So, it is likely that this one might do the same thing: Unless:
You have some kind of Technological singularity that people don't recognize until it is too late!
What could that be:
1. Skynet in Terminator
2. Something happens to poison our food
3. Global Climate change wipes everyone out but people like Trump pretend everything is okay.
4. a race of robots kill everyone.
5. A pandemic wipes everyone out.
6 a Tsunami from a 10,0 earthquake covers over all lands on earth or most of them.
7. anything you can imagine might happen.
So, will people survive the 4th industrial revolution?
The best answer might be:
It is likely that some people will survive the 4th technological revolution.
what is unknown is who they are and what they will be like.
But my best guess is that Earth will have about 4 billion people or 1/2 less people by 2100 whatever happens if any of us survive this century at all.
What happens the next century?
We have to survive this century first to know that.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
