Though ideally all cars would be solar powered from the roofs of people's homes worldwide or from windmills or impellers run by rivers and such, the biggest problem with all electric cars is their batteries when people are through with them. I think making batteries that are able to be reused in some way or rebuilt would help a lot in this sort of like the way Tesla reuses rocket boosters and has them land on platforms in the ocean or on land. If you built batteries to be refurbished or reused sort of like you can rebuild a car or truck engine by boring it out slightly larger if it doesn't have a cracked block then you might have something.
Otherwise, the batteries are much more polluting to the environment than oil ever was. So, finding a way to recycle or use batteries from electric cars is very important. Recycling or reusing or refurbishing cell phone batteries might be important also with 5 to 7 billion cell phones on the planet or more now still working too that are all going to need at least one new battery within a couple of years of the time they are first bought.
