Protect others from gaining the karma of harming you

When I was in my 30s from about 35 to 40 I studied with Tibetan Lamas in the U.S. in Oregon and California and in India and Nepal. I took my family there to India and Nepal in 1985 in December and we stayed until April 1986 traveling and studying with Tibetan Lamas including the Dalai Lama then in Bodhgaya and Dharamshala, India and in Kathmandu, Nepal and in the Himalalays on a 50 mile trek with my family and a guide into Helambu Area which is near Kathmandu and the Mt. Everest area of Nepal.

One of the things lamas told me was: "You must protect people from gaining negative karma against you."  For me, this gave me license to become much more supernatural than I was before because what this might mean was that I was a reincarnated Tibetan Tulku so the karma of going against me in any way would be naturally horrific. So, I applied myself to this diligently to see all beings around me who might try to harm me or accidentally harm me sort of as wayward children. From this point of view I could do whatever I needed to to protect them from harming me and at the same time cause them no harm in doing this either.

I remember the exchange when they told me I had to learn to protect others from harming me. I said to them: "How do I do this?" They just looked at me and said, "You'll figure it out!"

Because I was a full adult and an intuitive this was possible for me to learn how to protect others from causing harm to me and so I did this ongoing ever since.

I remember a man walked up to my wife and I when we came out of a bank and told me: "Give me some money!" and I looked into his mind and realized he intended to kill my wife and I if we didn't give him money. I pulled out my wallet and gave the man 20 dollars. He was really really angry because then he couldn't kill us because of the covenant of me giving him 20 dollars. It took everything he had to walk away from us. This is how you protect others from harming you. This is one way of millions to do this. The more spiritually developed you are the more important it is to learn how to do this.
