Very unusual Rain year in California

Where I live it's below  normal rainfall  here in Northern California.

However, what is interesting to me is the desert readings are way off the charts with storms dropping rain there. Here are some examples:

Sandberg 105% of normal rainfall this date of March 24th 2020 Tuesday
Palmdale  91% of normal
Lancaster126% of normal
Santa Barbara 60% of normal
LAX airport .  90% of normal
San Diego 106% of normal
Palm Springs 105% of normal
Barstow-Daggett 104% of normal
Needles                168% of normal

This is obviously pretty unusual and what it reminds me of the rainfall now is that the coast where I live feels a lot more like it's slowly moving to a climate maybe like Hawaii that is warmer and wetter in some ways for March through May (at least this is what it did last year) where rainfall in May was more than the last 100 or 200 years.
