You don't get to choose the problems you are going to face as a generation. Some of my generation were adaptable enough to survive it like me and many others, some died in Viet Nam and some overdosed with Drugs or drove their cars too fast over cliffs or into telephone poles while racing. But, we don't get to choose what we are going to face.
I would say "The single most important thing might be to be adaptable if you want to live a long time here on earth."
Things will be completely different than you would ever think.
I personally am very pleasantly surprised at how my life went. Most of the very worst things that happened to me were at 2, 10, 21, and 50. So, for me most of the very worst stuff that happened to me personally were over by 25 years of age until I almost died at 50. But, since 50 has been the happiest time of my life for a variety of reasons. I wanted to die mostly during my 18 to 25 era. I wanted to die from ages 10 to 15 because of blunt trauma childhood epilepsy.
But, by 25 I was on my way to a much better life than I ever had before. But, without hope there is no future for anyone.
This is a temporary thing as long as most people are level headed and make completely pragmatic decisions. However, not being level headed right now could end your life and other lives too.
Being self disciplined right now is necessary to survive all this and to come out the other side of this sane and healthy and alive.
