I would say the most important thing is finding a way to remain calm. The second most important thing is to try to be near wilderness which can be plains, mountains, oceans, rivers, lakes where you can see and feel nature in it's natural setting without being messed up so much by mankind in various ways. In these natural settings you can hear "God" or "Nature" or whatever you want to call it and become in tune with the deepest secrets of nature and God.
In this way you begin to "Hear" the angels and converse with them and begin to realize that they don't live in time and space and tend to know what is going to happen next here on earth.
Many living things are like this not just the angels by the way. Plants like Trees are like this where they all live in the past, present and future all at the same time. Rocks and mountains are aware and like this too where they live in the past, present and future all the time too.
One of my most interesting experiences took place in the early 1980s near Big Sur where the Rocks and cliffs on the ocean began to speak with me. At first I was disturbed about this until I visited one of the medicine men I was studying with, "Charlie Thom" of the Karuk Tribe near Happy Camp near the ORegon Border in California. He told me that his people that Karuk Tribe had been speaking with the "Rock People" for thousands of Years and had been inviting the rock people into the sweat lodges into the womb of mother earth to commune with them all this time. So, I realized that the Rock people had begun to talk with me too because of the Karuk Tribe connection I had with Charlie Thom, a medicine man from this Tribe.
As time went on I realized I could not only speak with Rocks and mountains but also with anything made of metal like a plane or a car or a ship and ask it what would happen next.
In the late 1990s I was in Palm Springs and Thunderbird Country Club at my father in laws 80th birthday party there on the golf course and after that we were flying home to San Jose Airport from Palm Springs and I asked the plane we were going to fly in if we were going to crash. It said "NO" but that it would be a very rough flight. I said that's okay as long as we don't crash.
As we began the landing pattern to San Jose Airport the plane went straight up which is very dangerous because the wing could stall. My wife asked me if we were going to crash because she knew I would know. I said I had spoken with the plane and it had told me it would get rough but that we wouldn't crash.
My 3 year old daughter was saying "Whoopee!" and the people around us were nervously laughing at the child laughing and saying whoopee when they all believed they might die. So, as people were throwing up from everything and screaming my daughter was saying: "Whoopee!" She loved roller coasters of all kinds after that by the way growing up.
So, while everyone around us was crying, screaming and freaking out, and throwing up we were okay because I had already talked to the plane which knew beforehand all this would happen.
