What I learned from my cardiologist about Atrial Fibrillation

The Atrial fibrillation as long as it doesn't kill you isn't the problem. The problem is a pooling of blood in your heart which might result in blood clots. So, if you go into atrial Fibrillation for 10 or 20 minutes time you need to take a blood thinner to prevent blood clots. This is what my cardiologist told me. Because you don't want blood clots to go into your brain and give you a stroke or into your heart and give you a heart attack or into any other organ or limb and give you other problems.

Atrial Fibrillation feels like a butterfly or bird trying to escape your chest heart area by flapping it's wings. This likely is the best way to describe this sensation.
