I wrote the poem- from Castles to Cannons in Response to 9-11 in New York City because of the way it changed the whole world then

However, now, I think people need to realize that Covid and the Ukraine War and uncontrollable inflation worldwide is also even more of an extreme change than 9-11-2001 was. IT's less obvious because we have millions and millions dead from Covid worldwide (likely 50 million to 100 million in reality) not the bullshit 7 to 10 million worldwide who actually got tested before they died worldwide because they actually could afford to pay for a doctor.

The idea of from Castles to Cannons goes like this. People built castles before there were Cannons because arrows couldn't bring down castles and you really couldn't actually burn a castle made of rocks. So, in order to actually attack a castle you had to someone climb the walls and be pushed off the parapets by the defending army. So, this is the idea between from Castles to Cannons in how warfare has changed.

And now Covid and the Ukraine war (actually the Ukraine war comes directly from Putin's physical and psychological isolation and his fear of death and not being remembered because this guy is an avowed communist and atheist not the head of White Christianity like some Trumpers think. So, Putin wants to be remembered sort of like Lenin and Stalin or Ivan the Terrible or someone like this in history because that is the only way for an atheist to be remembered down through history after he is dead from cancer or from assassination both of which are very likely in Putin's case just like everyone who came before him in Russia. The precedent was set by executing Czar Nicholas and his whole family. Ever since then Russian leaders get assassinated a lot. Putin knows this and I think he also accepts this too.

So, this poem today for me is about Covid and inflation and the Ukraine war (none of these can be stopped at present and all are likely to get much worse over time.

A Poem- From Castles to Cannons

Times have changed
Hopis say swim in the middle of the river
Don't hang onto the banks
Go with the flow
We are all swept away in the new tide
Fighting the changes only brings pain and hurt
Go with the changes
Build a new life from the ashes of the old

A new world paradigm builds
Just as it did in the early 1900's
Everything has changed
And so have we<

I find myself trying to cling onto a past now dead
A past I felt secure in
Nothing feels secure like it once did

I remember how feelings of security crashed during the Cuban Missile Crisis
And when the Kennedys and King died
But it was different than this
And those days are gone
I remember then how insecure we all felt in the 60's
None of us expected to live to be 30
Many young people now may feel the same way
But I say to you truly
You will not die

You will just have to find a way to cope with all the changes
Just as we all did in the 60's
Just as people have had to find ways of coping and going on
Throughout all past times
Things are just different now
They are not over
Just different
