First I would like to repeat the Zen Master Story and then I want to share what actually happened to me growing up

It reminds me of the story of the Zen Master and the Chinese Village.

There was a boy of about 12 to 14 years of age. And one day he won a contest and won a beautiful horse and the people said, "Isn't this boy lucky to win this marvelous horse?" and the master said: "We'll See".

Then the boy fell off the horse and broke his leg so he couldn't walk for a long time and the people said: "Isn't this boy unlucky to break his leg falling off this wonderful horse?"

and the Master said: "We'll See"

Then all the boys were drafted into the army except the boy who won the horse and broke his let and they all died (all the boys in the village who went to war died).

Then the people said: "Oh. This boy is so lucky he won this horse and broke his leg because he is still alive."

And the master said: "We'll See"

and now I would like to share what actually happened to me in my life which is a little like the Zen master story from China.

I had whooping Cough at age 2 but then I survived this with the help of the Angels.

But then, I fell and hit my head rock climbing with my father around age 8 or 9 in Chilao above Los Angeles in the mountains. Within the next year I started to have night time seizures caused by this. the medical Term for this I learned from my son who got a bachelor's degree in Nursing in 2010. It's called "Childhood Epilepsy" but it is also the only kind you can recover from and live a normal life without strong medications to survive your epilepsy. However, I didn't know this until the 2000s about all this regarding childhood epilepsy.

However, I had night time seizures from ages 10 to 15 and each time it was like being murdered and most people over 30 likely wouldn't have survived even one of these types of Seizures because you go unconscious and are unconscious for an hour or two and then you wake up shaking uncontrollably because of extreme Shock to your system and many people die when this shock occurs. I was just one of the survivors.

Then at age 18 my father told me when I had to apply for my draft card to say that I might need a medical deferment. I did as my father said and got a 4 F classification because of these seizures.

So, the very thing I believed I was going to die from from ages 10 to 15 actually saved my life from not going to the Viet Nam War.

So, in a way I experienced the Zen Master story in my own unique way.

So, this is one reason why I believe God Saved my life and why he trained me to work for him ever since I was 15 and stopped having these seizures at night when I asked God to come live in my body with me and he has ever since.

By God's Grace
